Cookies and storage

Essential state, explained plainly

IT Modality uses limited browser storage for essential security, saved preferences, form continuity, and dismissal choices. Nonessential analytics remains off unless the site presents a clear choice and records consent.

CONTROL RECORD

A policy names its scope, evidence state, limit, and correction path.

  1. 01Scope
  2. 02Owner
  3. 03Evidence state
  4. 04Review / correct
A published policy does not become technical enforcement or external assurance by itself.

Functions that should survive a page change

Essential storage can preserve security tokens, rate-limit state, form progress, a sibling-notice dismissal, accessibility preferences, and authenticated workspace sessions. Disabling it may prevent a form or workspace from operating correctly.

Measurement requires a declared mode

When nonessential analytics is off, the site does not ask for or store an analytics preference. If analytics is enabled later, the consent control identifies the purpose and provides a withdrawal path before nonessential storage is used.

Your browser remains the final control

You can remove or block storage through browser settings. Authenticated sessions and in-progress forms may need to be restarted afterward. Questions can be sent to hello@itmodality.com.
