Cookies and storage
Essential state, explained plainly
IT Modality uses limited browser storage for essential security, saved preferences, form continuity, and dismissal choices. Optional, self-hosted analytics remains off until you explicitly allow it in Privacy choices.

Functions that should survive a page change
Essential storage can preserve security tokens, rate-limit state, form progress, a sibling-notice dismissal, accessibility preferences, and authenticated workspace sessions. Disabling it may prevent a form or workspace from operating correctly.
Measurement starts only after your choice
IT Modality hosts Umami analytics on the same site. After you select Allow analytics, the site may record an allowlisted page route, the referring site, broad device and browser information, country-level location derived from the network request, sanitized campaign tags, and named interactions such as navigation, form start, validation state, and server-confirmed receipt. The tracker does not receive names, email addresses, form answers, free text, private query strings, cross-site identifiers, or session replay.
Automatic page capture is disabled. The site sends only the fifteen versioned events accepted by its analytics schema. Your browser stores the word granted or denied under itm.analytics-consent.v2; that preference contains no account, identity, or advertising identifier. Umami records are stored on IT Modality's server and remain there until an operator deletes them. Backups age out after 14 days.
Your browser remains the final control
You can change the analytics choice at any time through Privacy choices in the footer. Choosing Keep analytics off stops future optional events; it does not retroactively delete aggregate records already received. You can also remove or block storage through browser settings. Authenticated sessions and in-progress forms may need to be restarted afterward. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to hello@itmodality.com.
