Corrections

A correction changes the record without erasing the history.

When a public claim, policy, course, standard, case record, or trust statement is materially wrong or incomplete, IT Modality records the issue, owner, decision, correction, effective date, and affected surfaces.

Correction process

  1. Capture the precise statement, location, and concern.

  2. Assign the content or operating owner.

  3. Preserve the prior version and relevant evidence.

  4. Decide whether to correct, clarify, retract, or leave unchanged.

  5. Update dependent surfaces from the canonical record.

  6. Publish a dated note when the change is material to reader reliance.

  7. Notify affected parties through the appropriate protected channel when required.

Minor typographic and formatting changes may be corrected without a public entry when meaning is unchanged.
